GMHS services are open and free to gay and bisexual men, men who have sex with men and the trans community.

Monday Clinic

This is an asymptomatic clinic for MSM and the Trans community ie If you have no symptoms but would like a routine check-up on your sexual health.

This is a drop-in service. Places are limited and so service users are seen on a first-come-first-served basis.The clinic opens at 1:30pm and will close at 4pm or when all places have been filled.

Due to high levels of demand for this service, it is advised to attend early – places fill quickly.

During your visit to the clinic you will be offered a rapid HIV test with a result before you leave the clinic. You will have a full STI screen which includes a nurse-led blood test and throat swab and a self-taken rectal swab and urine sample.

Thursday Clinic

This is a PrEP monitoring clinic for MSM and the Trans community i.e. if you are currently taking, or thinking about taking PrEP this clinic offers you all of the baseline testing and support that you need and future follow-up appointments.

This is a drop-in service. Places are limited and so service users are seen on a first-come-first-served basis. The clinic opens at 10am and will close at 12pm midday or when all places have been filled.

Due to high levels of demand for this service, it is advised to attend early – places fill quickly.

At this clinic you will receive a 4th generation rapid HIV test and full STI screen and all other tests required when taking PrEP. Your visit will also include a consultation with the doctor about PrEP including a prescription if needed. PrEP is not available at this clinic.

Tuesday & Wednesday Clinic

This is a full service clinic for MSM and the Trans community i.e. if you have symptoms or concerns, if you have been contacted by a previous sexual partner who has an STI, if you need to avail of PEP, to start or complete vaccinations, if you would like a routine sexual health check-up, etc.

There are a limited number of walk-in places available for this clinic which is dependent on the number of return patients with appointments and the number of doctors available at the clinic. If you have symptoms or concerns, it is advised to attend early.

Due to sustained high demand for this service, we cannot guarantee entry to the clinic for all those who attend.

  • Entry to the waiting room is at 4.00pm. (Tickets are given for all available places at this time.)

  • We begin nurse-led services shortly after 4.00pm.

  • Doctor-led services begin from 5.30pm

  • We will attempt to see all those admitted by 8:30pm

Saturday Community Clinic

On the third Saturday of every month, GMHS in partnership with Gay Switchboard Ireland provide an asymptomatic clinic for MSM and the Trans community at Outhouse LGBT Community Centre (map) i.e. If you have no symptoms but would like a routine check-up on your sexual health.

This is a drop-in service. Places are limited and so patients are seen on a first-come-first-served basis. The clinic opens at 1:30pm and will close at 3pm or when all places have been filled.

You will have a full STI screen which includes a nurse-led blood test and throat swab and a self-taken rectal swab and urine sample.
